Cost


Since most of the Universities are State Funded, it is not very expensive to study in Germany as compared to the other A-league countries.

  • Tuition Fee in Government State Funded Universities is approx. Euros 500 per semester or none.
  • Living expenses in Germany is approx Euros 8100 per year and it varies from location to location; living in city with all the leisure would cost you around 650-750 Euros where as living in a suburban area would be around 600 Euros.
  • Course duration ranges from 3-4 year for undergrad after foundation year and 2 years for Masters.

Work Permit


Germany gives you an opportunity to work part time, so that you can afford your stay there from your own pocket.

Some states would allow you to work 120 full days, or 240 half days in a year. After completing your course it is valid for you to stay in Germany for a year to search for a full time job.
 
Depending on the type of job you could easily ear 7-10 Euros per hour. 

Most of the students try to find jobs at the university campus and get a decent compensation for your work. However, other students generally work for Retail Stores, Supermarkets, and Café’s. Pubs or Bars, Delivery drivers, cycle couriers, cleaning, etc

After Bachelors or Masters, Students are allowed to search their full time Job in within the duration of 18 months.

  1. Is there a Post study work option or possibility of applying for PR?
    German government allows an 18 months Post Study work permit after completion of your course, during this period you could look for a permanent job relevant to your qualification.

  2. What are the general entry requirements for Universities?
    You are required to score in English Language Test i.e. IELTS, TOEFL. GRE/GMAT/GATE/German Language are not mandatory. Contact Student Counselor at KAAISER for complete assistance

  3. What are the possibilities of getting a scholarship?
    In Germany, all are the State funded Govt. Universities do not have much tuition fee. Contact KAAISER counselor to apply for Scholarship on Living cost.

  4. What are the intakes in Germany?
    There are two intakes ‘summer’ and ‘winter’. Application for ‘summer’ intake generally ends by mid January and May mid for ‘winter’ session. You should start working on your admission process at least 6 months in advance.

  5. What is the medium of instruction?
    Most of the Masters courses are available in English medium but Bachelors are in German Medium. So it is necessary to have proficiency in German Language.

  6. Is there any need to learn German language?
    It’s not mandatory but recommended. Some Universities offer German language course at beginner’s level as it helps in day to day life.

  7. When should I start the application process?
    It is advisable to start an application process minimum of 6 months in advance to Intake.

  8. Can I work Part Time while studying?

  9. How long the application and VISA process will take?
    Application processing time takes 4-6weeks after the deadlines and VISA processing time takes 45-60days.
