The University of Western Australia have announced a new Master of Strategic Communication course in 2015 which offers work placements, an international emphasis, and the ability to graduate in 12 months, all designed to meet the needs of driven communication professionals. The course can be completed in as little as one calendar year (two semesters plus a summer semester). Canada now allows off campus part time work
As of June 2014, study permits issued by the Canadian High Commission include a notation that allows international students to work off campus without obtaining a separate off-campus work permit. Increase in Canadian Study Visa
The increasing interest of Indians choosing Canada as a post-secondary study destination is evidenced by the 15% increase (year–to–date) in study permit applications received by the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi, resulting in 14,000 study permits issued this year. A notable change highlighted was the shift in student interest as well. During the recent five-city Council of International Schools (CIS) universities tour of India, students are showing an interest in the liberal arts.They ask about programmes in Communications, English, Journalism, History, Political Science, International Relations, Psychology as well as Music, Film and Design.
